finding words

When facing challenges, problems, change or loss, being able to find words for your experiences and feelings can make them seem more manageable.

Sometimes, simply saying things outloud to another person can make you feel significantly less isolated or overwhelmed.

Speaking  - or writing - about what you have experienced in a confidential setting provides an opportunity to work through events or emotions which have been difficult or painful.

I offer psychodynamic counselling and writing therapy in calm, attractive premises in North Shields.  I also facilitate courses of writing for wellbeing for groups and individuals.

To give a thing a name, a label, a handle; to rescue it from anonymity, to pluck it out of the Place of Namelessness, in short to identify it – well, that’s a way of bringing the said thing into being.’
